Via MNI comes a commentary piece from the China Securities Journal painting the circui breaker backflip in a positive light!

  • Suspending the circuit breaker mechanism will provide both regulators and investors time to gain experience and learn
  • A lot of factors, including the yuan's depreciation, contributed to the stock market's dive this week
  • Circuit breaker mechanism simply exacerbated the decline ... it was intended to provide a "calming down period" for the market, but resulted in a relatively big "magnetic effect" as investors hadn't adapted to the way the mechanism operated
  • the Journal says investors should be cautious & to avoid blind selling ... as the PBOC ad already announced there was no basis for the yuan's constant depreciation against the US dollar

I'm a bit busy LOLing to add anything much to this malarkey.

OK, maybe this:

  • Its only a mistake if you don't crash global markets learn anything from it
