An prospector in Australia has found a 145-ounce gold nugget. Its estimated to be worth 190,000 US dollars.

Cool. It's the first I've heard about this, its probably been on the telly but I don't watch much.

For the Aussies:

  • He was searching in Victoria's "famous golden triangle"
  • 9,400 square kilometer "golden triangle" in central Victoria, bordered by the towns of Castlemaine, Wedderburn and Avoca

If he's been out and about searching there recently, well good luck to him. Its cold there this time of year. (OK, not snow in Canada cold, but cold for Oz. He probably had to wear a jumper over his t-shirt. Brrr ;-) )
