The Bank of Japan held two monetary policy meetings in October.

Say what you like about the BOJ monetary policy board, no one is even going to get away with accusing them of shirking. Two meetings in October!

Yep, October 6 and 7, then October 30.

You may remember the October 6/7 meeting ... I sure don't but you may. But I do remember the sharp yen move before any announcement from the meeting was made.

There was no change in policy and they kept their assessment of the economy unchanged. The meeting was more notable for what happened in the minutes preceding the policy announcement ...

it looked like a leak ... peculiar.

Anyway, the Minutes (of the October 6/7 meeting) are today, due at 2350GMT.

I'm not expecting any fresh info from them though.

(ps. We'll get the Minutes of the October 30 meeting on November 25)
