Reuters out with a story earlier 9 Sept

  • spokeswoman for Beijing-based OK Coin said the platform has not received any notification from regulators
  • spokespersons at Beijing-based Huobi and Shanghai-based BTCC said they were still waiting for further official clarification.

The need for clarification follows yesterday's report that China plans to shut local Bitcoin exchanges that Greg posted here and which resulted in prices tumbling.

That news came after the announcement on Monday to ban ICO financing that I reported here.

Interesting times for Bitcoin/others.
