- Shares of GE, adjusted for splits and inflation traded at 18-cents. Today $27.80 (+154x)
So 50 years ago you could have bought a Sgt. Pepper's for $1 or a few shares of GE and turned them into $154.
I'd say Sgt. Pepper's was the better investment.
